Après un premier album en collaboration avec le producteur Twani ovationné par la presse et le public, l’année 2023 marque le grand retour d’Awori sur le label Galant Records, branche hip hop de la maison de disque Jarring Effects. Après un remix UK garage de son titre Hold Me avec Twani, la rappeuse suisse-ougandaise dévoile aujourd’hui un remix explosif du titre Resting Feet de Paul Boutique. Ce track marque le coup d’envoi de la tournée automne/hiver d’Awori et risque bien d’embraser les scènes d’Inde, du MAMA Festival à Paris, du Brise-Glace puis du Crossroads Festival à Roubaix.

Avec l’optique d’enrichir toujours plus son bagage artistique, Awori multiplie cette année les collaborations avec différents beatmakers. Elle propose aujourd’hui un remix du titre Resting Feet en collaboration avec le producteur Paul Boutique. Ce featuring apparaît comme une évidence : les deux artistes sont signés sur le même label et ils ont l’habitude de collaborer ensemble. En effet, Paul Boutique endosse sa casquette d’ingénieur du son pour Awori lorsqu’elle se produit sur scène.

Le track original fait parti de l’opus Supérette de Paul Boutique, un album oscillant entre bass music et house paru en 2022 sur Galant Records donc. Pour ce remix, Awori a apporté sa plume, sa voix envoûtante et son flow incisif pour un titre léger et libérateur qui incite à faire fi des on dit et du qu’en-dira-t-on pour se recentrer sur soi, apprendre à s’écouter et se faire confiance. Un titre clairement conçu pour bouncer sur les dancefloors. Côté instru, Paul Boutique a retravaillé l’original pour un exaltant mélange de house et de trap. Un son solaire à l’énergie contagieuse qui n’a pas finit de nous faire danser !

After a first album in collaboration with producer Twani that received a standing ovation from the press and public alike, the year 2023 marks Awori's return on Galant Records label, the hip hop arm of Jarring Effects label. After a UK garage remix of her track Hold Me with Twani, the Swiss-Ugandan rapper today unveils an explosive remix of Resting Feet. This track marks the kick-off of Awori's autumn/winter tour, and is sure to set the stages of India, the MAMA Festival in Paris, the Brise-Glace and the Crossroads Festival in Roubaix ablaze.

With a view to further enriching her artistic baggage, Awori is multiplying her collaborations with different beatmakers this year. Today, she offers a remix of Resting Feet in collaboration with producer Paul Boutique. This featuring seems an obvious choice: the two artists are signed to the same label and are used to working together. Indeed, Paul Boutique dons his sound engineer hat for Awori when she performs live.

The original track is part of Paul Boutique's Supérette opus, an album oscillating between bass music and house released in 2022 on Galant Records. For this remix, Awori has brought his pen, his bewitching voice and his incisive flow to bear on a light, liberating track that encourages us to ignore the "on dit" and the "qu'en-dira-t-on", to refocus on ourselves, to learn to listen to ourselves and to trust ourselves. A track clearly designed to bounce on dancefloors. On the instrumentation side, Paul Boutique has reworked the original for an exhilarating blend of house and trap.
