lyrics
VERSE 1:
Heading out
Don’t usually feel like a crowd but i want to now
Want to be in the here and the now
And my body’s bound to the earth and the earth core
Love it hard till it gets sore
Love it when they scream for an encore
Make me feel like there’s more we could live for
You should tread lightly it’s dangerous
Sometimes you tend to get careless
Get close to the light and then fall into an endless pit
Claw yourself out ‘fore you get sick
Get rid of the nonsense
Don’t get so lost in the darkness
Be careful cause you might become it
HOOK:
I get that feeling in my stomach
I get that feeling in my stomach
I get that feeling in my stomach
I get that feeling in my stomach
VERSE 2:
Indulge in some rest like it’s heaven-sent
Converse with the gods tell me everything
We fight over whose god who’s worshipping
Ignorance is to our detriment
Wonder if we’ll see the end of it
Government should feel embarrassment
Bout all the lies and the death and the violence
Screaming as loud as the guns and the sirens
We won’t back down, we won’t be silent
Must join us now or forever be quiet
Don’t want to hear ‘bout the black folk you hired
That’s a façade and it’s weak and it’s tired
Freedom won’t come from the people up higher
Here on the ground’s where we lighting the fires
Burn it all down, dance on its ashes
Telling you that’s not a threat , it’s a promise
HOOK:
I get that feeling in my stomach
I get that feeling in my stomach
I get that feeling in my stomach
I get that feeling in my stomach
